SWIM: Norris collects second gold
MANCHESTER, Aug 2 AAP - Justin Norris won his second gold medal of the Manchester CommonwealthGames tonight in a battle with Canadian Brian Johns for the 400m individual medley title.
Norris, who won the 200m butterfly gold earlier this week, powered to the wall in fourminutes 16.95 seconds to beat the Canadian, who punched the wall several times after losingthe race.
Johns, who won the silver in 4:17.41, had been ranked ahead of Norris, who trains atthe Australian Institute of Sport, going into the race.
The Australian gave his trademark salute with little finger and thumb after claimingthe gold, describing it earlier in the week as "medal horns".
