Vic: Man charged over supermarket robbery at Darley

An Albury man has been charged over the gunpoint robbery of a supermarket at Darley,
west of Melbourne.

A police spokesman says a woman shop assistant was allegedly robbed of cash after a
man wearing a balaclava threatened her with a sawn-off rifle yesteday morning.

Police last night searched a house at nearby Bacchus Marsh and allegedly found a gun
and other items.

As a result the 20-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated burglary,
assault, drug and firearms offiences.

He has been remanded in custody to appear in Sunshine Magistrates Court on December 27.
