Two TV bills make for nasty viewing

TV or not TV, that is the question not quite posed by WilliamShakespeare, and reader Don Aitchison had an even better one.

Why should he pay for two television sets when he had bought justone? Don, of Shilbottle, Northumberland, had ordered a set frominternet traders Best Buy.

He cancelled the order in favour of a more expensive one from thesame outfit.

But he was charged twice and was not given a refund on the firstorder despite repeated calls.

Don said: "I am still chasing the company for the money from thefirst TV six weeks later.

"I have phoned on several occasions and every time they promiseto phone me back and never do. Basically, I get fobbed off everytime."

A spokeswoman for Best Buy admitted something had gone wrong inreturning the money.

She said: "Due to a rare systems error, there was a delay inprocessing Mr Aitchison's refund. We are currently investigating whythis took so long to ensure it does not happen again.

"In the meantime, we have apologised to Mr Aitchison for theinconvenience caused and have credited his account in full."
