DataMirror Software To Empower Companies To Integrate
Data From Mainframes To Mobiles
INTERNET & e-BUSINESS CONFERENCE & EXPO - DataMirror Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise application integration and resiliency solutions, today announced that it has enhanced its Transformation Server data integration software and expanded its platform coverage, to enable the real-time integration of critical data between mainframes, midrange systems and mobile devices.
Transformation Server Version 4.6 will now offer native support for DB2/UDB on all platforms where the data resides, including Linux and Microsoft Windows NT/2000. This new functionality further extends Transformation Server's existing native support for DB2/UDB on IBM zSeries (OS/390) and iSeries (OS/400) computing systems, enabling high performance, real-time, bi-directional data replication between all major systems capable of running DB2/UDB.
DataMirror has also significantly enhanced its Transformation Server for PointBase solution, targeting the integration needs of customers in the growing Java economy. PointBase, a small-footprint, scalable relational database written entirely in Java, can be installed and used on any platform supporting Java. Because PointBase can run on servers, mobile devices and Internet appliances and may be embedded into business applications, companies using Transformation Server for PointBase integration software will be able to extend the reach of critical corporate and customer data to new classes of mobile users.
Version 4.6 of Transformation Server for DB2/UDB, PointBase and OS/390 offers breakthrough features and functionality for superior data resiliency and ease-of-use:
- Alarms and Alerts support the notification of users automatically via e-mail, wireless devices or messaging, and automatic actions based on conditional events. This ensures that administrators are aware of vital Transformation Server data integration infrastructure status at all times. - Auto Discovery reduces configuration time by enabling automatic identification of all publisher or subscriber agents running within the replication network. With a single click, administrators can obtain a 360-degree view of the entire replication infrastructure without needing to contact remote administrators for configuration information.
"Real-time data drives all business. Since 1993, Transformation Server has been continually enhanced to accommodate the most current real-time data integration needs of companies with mixed-system computing environments," said Nigel Stokes, Chairman, President and CEO of DataMirror Corporation. "By expanding our comprehensive platform coverage and enhancing Transformation Server performance and functionality, we demonstrate our commitment to helping customers create seamlessly integrated IT environments for application integration, e-Business, business intelligence and customer relationship management success. We continue to benefit companies worldwide through the ability to integrate a growing number of databases, applications and computing platforms."
