FED:Korea has Aust support against North:PM

The prime minister has voiced Australia's support for South Korea .. as the Asian nation
deals with aggressive moves from its northern neighbour.

North Korea has threatened South Korea through the development of nuclear weapons and
long-range missiles .. and it sank a South Korean naval vessel in March 2010.

JULIA GILLARD has told Sky News .. on each occasion the government's made it clear
Australia views North Korea's conduct as unacceptable.

Ms GILLARD departs for her Asian trip tomorrow .. and is scheduled to be in Korea next
Monday for Anzac Day.

Australian forces were part of a United Nations multinational force in defending South
Korea during the Korean War between 1950 and 1953.
